Aims
To facilitate the exploration of key concepts that will enable the Student to obtain a greater understanding of their own role within an inter-professional care environment
Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate the role of the Student in effective inter-professional working

Demonstrate an enhanced understanding of the importance of partnerships in care in order to reflect the patient voice / service user contribution.

Person Centred approaches to care Choice, autonomy and empowerment and relationship to specific Acts e.g. DOLs, POVA, MH Act, Children Act Introduction to making Every Contact Count All Our Health and partnership working Delivering care through evidence based practice End of life care including common drugs and pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics Preventative Health conversations Assistive living technologies for self care and autonomy Communication and interpersonal skills, teaching others Listening to the patient's journey - effective communication for person centred care Assertiveness skills Team working and Leadership Team work for service delivery Critical reflection on performance leading to identification of own development needs Inter-professional team working and care navigation Digital approaches to care Duty of care, candour, equality and diversity Human Rights Act Advocacy, Duty of Candour Culturally competent care Research development and Innovation
