Aims
To introduce students to lean methodology and enable them apply lean methodology in a Business Management context. As part of the module students will be introduced to the concepts of Lean Six Sigma and Lean and their associated tools and techniques.
Learning Outcomes

Evaluate of the origins of Lean thinking and how it has evolved to be applied into industry today.

Analyse Business Management process problems.

Apply appropriate tools and techniques for process improvement.

Demonstrate Lean Six Sigma principles and tools at Yellow Belt level.

Module Overview:

By applying the tools and techniques learned, students will be able to confidently identify process improvements and will have an accredited qualification come the end of the module. Students will be introduced to the concepts of Lean Six Sigma and be able demonstrate the principles and tools at Yellow Belt level.
