Aims

This module aims to provide students with the resources, skills and knowledge to optimise opportunities provided in the workplace to develop and strengthen a range of professional skills, relevant to an Environmental Health Practitioner, via participation in an environmental health/public health based project.

Module Overview:
This module aims to provide you with the resources, skills and knowledge to optimise opportunities provided in the workplace to develop and strengthen a range of professional skills, relevant to an Environmental Health Practitioner, via participation in an environmental health/public health based project.
Additional Information:This module supports students in developing the knowledge and skills to plan, undertake and evaluate their own environmental health/public health based project. Students identify a project and arrange a placement in an appropriate professional or community organisation. Assessment is by portfolio and typically this will contain: a report outlining the rationale for the project; the project’s aims and objectives; information about the progress of the project and an evaluation of how the student has met personal and professional goals; a piece of work reflecting upon what the student has learnt about him/herself during the project. Students will also include their CareerSmart statement as an appendix to this report.
