Aims

The module will explore how social differentiation, social change and economic restructuring impact on and affect some vulnerable social groups in society

Learning Outcomes

1.
Discuss and apply key sociological theories to concepts of social change and globalisation.
2.
Understand the main features of social change in relation to key historical developments and how they influence contemporary understanding
3.
Outline the processes by which social change occurs in the context of globalised societies; illustrating with appropriate examples
