Aims
This course is an important practical teaching link in the teaching program of animal medicine. It is an independent experimental compulsory course. It is a comprehensive experimental course based on the students who have completed the professional basic course.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Analyse the physiological constants and pathological fluctuations of animals, check methods of animal physiological constants, and their application in disease diagnosis
2.
Master the techniques and methods of animal anatomy and pathology
3.
Understand the relationship between animal microbiology and animal diseases and the application of immunological techniques in the diagnosis of animal diseases
4.
Apply molecular biology experimental techniques and technology in animal disease diagnosis
5.
Have the ability to consult the literature, formulate experimental schemes, complete experiments independently, and comprehensively analyse and summarise the experimental results, and be able to exchange statements
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This practical course covers the following sections: poultry inspection and training operation, poultry castration and necropsy experiments, pig inspection and training operation, castration and autopsy experiments of pigs, collection, storage, packaging and transportation of sick materials, laboratory diagnosis of bacterial infectious diseases in animals, laboratory diagnosis of animal viral infectious diseases.
Additional Information:This is a practical course that will teach students various basic laboratory skills through practice and observation.
