Aims

To allow the student to evaluate the use of ICT materials to support children’s learning

Learning Outcomes

Explore the ways in which ICT resources can be used to enhance learning across the curriculum
2.
Discuss ICT resources used in work placement
3.
Discuss resources to show how ICT can promote personalised learning

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:The effective use of I.C.T. within the curriculum to enhance learning, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of I.C.T. within the curriculum for children. The evaluation of I.C.T. hardware and software, to include opportunities for differentiation. The use of ICT as a medium for play, and as a vehicle for cross curricular learning, safe ICT use, health and safety issues relating to I.C.T
Additional Information:Learners will be able to evaluate and use appropriate ICT tools to support children’s learning and assessment. Students will have the opportunity to sample and use a variety of ICT equipment and software. Students will also be encouraged to consider ICT resources in relation to children’s age and ability and how these resource link to the current curriculum.
