Aims
To provide students with an introduction to economic theories and principles with particular reference to the built environment, property and society in general.
Learning Outcomes

Define economic principles and review economic school of thoughts.

Understand the dynamics of supply and demand mechanism for the built environment.

Identify the causes and the impact of business cycles with reference to the construction and property industries.

Review major theories to allocate organisation’s resources to gain and sustain competitive advantage in the construction market.
