Aims
To provide students with practical skills in the methods used by climate scientists to collect, present and interpret primary and secondary data. To develop both quantitative and qualitative practical skills and field based observational skills.
Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate skills relevant in the analysis, interpretation and presentation of ecological, environmental and climate data

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Fieldwork to develop skills in observation and data collection: Practical field skills in climate and environmental science, including observations, qualitative and quantitative data collection and recording. Techniques include ecological and environmental sampling, observation and field recording.
Data acquisition, display and analysis and communication.
Small Group Tutorials to develop essential study skills.

Additional Information:This module includes a residential field trip to develop field based qualitative and quantitative skills.
