Aims
To develop student knowledge and understanding of the processes that shape the natural environment, and equip students with the theoretical, observational and practical skills required to analyse the landscape.

Outline Syllabus:Introduction to natural landscapes; Weathering & landforms; Hillslope processes & landforms; Fluvial processes & landforms; Glacial processes and landforms; Coastal processes & landforms; Karst processes & landforms; Introduction to landscapes & people; The interaction of people and their landscape.
Module Overview:
The aim of this module is to develop your knowledge and understanding of the processes that shape the natural environment, and equip you with the theoretical, observational and practical skills required to analyse the landscape.
The aim of this module is to develop your knowledge and understanding of the processes that shape the natural environment, and equip you with the theoretical, observational and practical skills required to analyse the landscape.
Additional Information:This module will introduce students to key topics of physical geography, and engages the concept of anthropogenic interaction with that landscape. The module will equip students with the theoretical and practical background necessary to assess the processes shaping the landscape and leads onto specialised modules at Levels 5 and 6. This will include detailed understanding of fluvial, coastal and glacial processes and landforms and the interaction between people and the landscape.
