Aims

To provide the students with an understanding of the role of a Construction Manager both in the workplace and within the Industry.

Carry out surveying tasks using industry standard equipment and technologies.

Apply aspects of construction management practice within an industry based scenario

Identify the construction management function and the role of the key professional bodies.

Module Overview:
This module introduces you to the role of a Construction Manager both in the workplace and within the Industry, including the use of industry standard software and surveying equipment. You will learn to carry out surveying tasks using industry standard equipment, apply aspects of construction management practice within an industry based scenario, and identify the construction management function role alongside the role of key professional bodies.
Additional Information:This module should introduce the students to role of a Construction Manager both in the workplace and within the Industry including the use of industry standard software and surveying equipment. In this module, the knowledge learning outcomes are K2, K3, K5, K8, K15 and the skills learning outcomes are S11.
