Aims
To provide students with knowledge and understanding of children's development and learning with a particular focus on the development of language and communication skills. To introduce students to different teaching styles which match children's development and learning at different age phases.

The acquisition and development of language and communication.
Personal, social and emotional development.
Physical development.
The importance of play.
The development of children's voice.
Developing an identity and sense of self.
