Aims
This module aims to provide students with the subject and pedagogical knowledge, skills and understanding required to teach Foundation Subjects at Key Stage 1.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Recognise the role and value of the teaching of Foundation subjects within the Primary curriculum.
2.
Discuss key concepts and identify subject specific knowledge, and skills in the teaching of foundation subjects in Key Stage 1.
3.
Develop and describe appropriate pedagogy for the teaching of specific Foundation Subjects at Key Stage 1 based on a sound understanding of curriculum and subject knowledge requirements.
