Aims
To introduce the students to the history, philosophies and paradigms of sport and exercise psychology. To familiarise the students with the fundamental role and professional training requirements of the sport and exercise psychologist. To provide and outline the role of the BPS Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology and BASES SEPAR development pathways for the sport and exercise psychologists. To explore the ethical and diversity considerations in sport and exercise psychology.
Learning Outcomes

Describe the roles of the sport and exercise psychologist within a range of client groups.
