Aims
To provide students with the skills to needed to interpret and perform simple (one or two operation) calculations independently, using appropriate equations and methods.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Identify the units of measurement and symbols that define weight, volume and concentration.
2.
Convert units of measure within the same measurement system and between different measurement systems.
3.
Select and apply the appropriate mathematical equations to solve simple (less than two sequential operations) dose calculation problems
4.
Select and apply the appropriate mathematical equations to calculate quantity of medicine to supply in simple (less than two sequential operations) problems
5.
Perform calculations using formula and set of data provided.

Additional Information:
This module is for summative assessment only. All learning, formative assessment and feedback for this assessment are included in the content module 4000MPHARM.
To ensure the programme aligns to the GPhC commitment to patient safety, any serious concerns that are identified within the assessment will be reviewed by a panel of pharmacists. If the concern raised is deemed to pose a risk to patient safety, the student will FAIL the assessment, even if they have achieved the required pass score.
Students must be successful in the module to progress to the next level of study.
No compensation, no trailing.
