Aims

To develop an appropriate breadth of knowledge from L4 of the programme to support a safe, effective and professional approach to practice

Learning Outcomes

Apply the science behind pharmacy in all activities
2.
Show basic knowledge of evidence-based, person-centred approached to care
3.
Show awareness of all-inclusive approaches to ensure the most appropriate course of action to deal with different scenarios based on clinical, legal and professional considerations
4.
Accurately perform calculations
5.
Show understanding of the use of local and national health and social care policies to improve health outcomes and public health, and to address health inequalities
6.
Show basic knowledge of how pharmacists participate in the promotion and protection of public health in their practice

Module Overview:
This module is solely for assessment and this is a synoptic assessment of student learning from year 1.
Additional Information:
This module is for summative assessment only. All learning, formative assessment and feedback for this assessment are included in the content module 4000MPHARM.

To ensure the programme aligns to the GPhC commitment to patient safety, this assessment will include a check as to whether a pharmacy student is demonstrating they are able to practise safely. To achieve the assessment pass mark, students must be able to demonstrate their ability to apply the principles and concepts of safe, person-centred practice in both clinical and non-clinical environments and scenarios. 

Students must be successful in the module to progress to the next level of study.
