Demonstrate competency in basic workshop skills (fitting, machining, fabrication and welding, mechanical and electrical maintenance)
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Marine engineering workshop skills including workshop safety, fitting, measurement, drilling, turning and milling, welding preparation and electric arc and gas welding, mechanical marine maintenance and assembly skills, marine electrical maintenance and assembly skills.
Module Overview:
To assess competency in basic workshop skills This is a zero credit standalone CPD programme (36210). In addition, candidates must have competed 410 hrs of approved workshop skills training evidenced by completion of a Workshop Training Record book by an competent instructor (approved).
