Aims
To develop English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to an IELTS equivalent of 5.5.
Learning Outcomes
1.
Practise receptive language skills which will be considered comparable to IELTS 5.5.
2.
Practise productive language skills which will be considered comparable to IELTS 5.5.

Additional Information:
English language assessment will be bench-marked against the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), such that a minimum grade of IELTS 5.5 will be achieved.
Such mapping requires an increased number of learning outcomes to be met by students and assessment of all four language skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening.
The pass mark for this module is 40%; however, students must achieve the minimum equivalent of 5.5 IELTS to succeed.
