Aims
Fundamentals of Zoology is the study of animal development and classification from the whole organism to tissues and structures. The main purpose is to master the basic knowledge and theory of zoology, to study the morphological structure, classification and adaptability to the environment. Through theoretical study and experimental observation of animal histology and embryology, students can strengthen the training of basic theory, knowledge and skills of development to understand the micro-structure of animals and distinguish structures and tissues under the microscope.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Zoology is a basic discipline that studies the morphological structure, classification, development of animals as well as the adaptability of life and interactions with the environment. The course introduces the characteristics, classification and representative animals of the main categories of invertebrates and vertebrates. Reproduction and individual development of animals are studied with a focus on histology and embryology of cells, organs and tissues.
Additional Information:This module helps individuals to develop an understanding of Animal Histology and Embryology Development methods, and gain an understanding of the evolution and development of the animal kingdom, master the characteristics and classification of the main animal categories and better understand the relationship between animals. Students will also acquire preliminary scientific research ability and master professional basic theories and knowledge of animal medicine.
