Aims

The module will provide an introduction to the world of business, the types of business and structures, the functional areas, an introduction into management theories and challengers faced by business in today’s commercial world.

Learning Outcomes

Evaluate the different forms of business and organisational structure in terms of nature, characteristics and perceived benefits.
2.
Identify the different types of management theory and how these can be applied.
3.
Evaluate the key issues and challengers that face business in today business environment.
