Aims
This module is designed as an immersive period of study allowing students to
• Critically reflect on their practice as dance makers
• Follow their own investigation into dance making, interrogate their own creative practice and define their individual focus of artistic endeavour
• Explore opportunities for collaboration and synthesis
• Enhance their knowledge of choreography as an interdisciplinary creative practice
• Develop as innovative and independent creative choreographers
Learning Outcomes

reflect upon, elucidate and demonstrate the ability through practice to deploy clear, coherent, safe and effective working practices as a choreographer

reflect upon, elucidate and demonstrate the ability through practice to deploy complex, refined and innovative choreography and choreographic ideas that respond to a range of stimuli, contexts and artistic visions and are overall a synthesis of a wide range of concepts, ideas and techniques.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The module is delivered around the student conceiving, developing and presenting a body of choreographic work. Students will be supported in exploring a range of contexts and stimuli from which to develop their work. As the module develops the students will be asked to reflect on their own creative vision and develop work which responds to specific and refined contexts , concepts and techniques.
Additional Information:The module enables the student to explore their own signature style and produce an advanced piece of choreographic work. Assessment is via a bespoke choreographed performance.
