The module aims to provide students with a critical understanding of the process of globalisation and the ability to critically reflect on the impact of globalisation on education and social justice
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Students will critically explore a range of related topics, for example:
- The process of globalisation
- Ways in which globalisation has influenced education systems
- Increasing internationalisation of the curriculum and the development of international schools
- Perspectives on teaching, learning, and assessment
- Learning in a connected world
- Principles and complexities of Social Justice in globalised contexts
- Global mobility and processes of equal opportunity
- Social responsibilities and effecting change
Additional Information:This module is delivered on the Westford campus as part of a face-to-face programme. Students will explore perspectives which challenge ethno-centricism and critically consider education and social justice in global contexts
