Aims
This module provides students with a grounding in the background law needed to fully understand the legal landscape in which human rights law operates. This module has been designed to support both those with, and those without, a legal background. The assessments have been designed specifically to enable non-lawyer/legal background students to gain a firm grasp of legal writing, including syllogistic reasoning. Furthermore, this will ensure that lawyers/legal background students entering the course are refreshed in academic rigour, and stretched/challenged, in preparation to work as masters (FHEQ 7) level.
