Aims

This module aims to develop the students appreciation of the skills and knowledge needed to lead projects considering working collaboratively in a professional inclusive environment.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Explain and critically analyse the theories and concepts of leadership and management and their application in organisations and on projects.
2.
Critically evaluate the role of leaders in ethically managing change and in working collaboratively, ethically and effectively to support project execution.
3.
Explain and critically evaluate the processes required to ensure various elements of strategic value-enhancing practices are implemented within HR practices.
4.
Critically evaluate professional and inclusive skills sets in relation to collaborative working.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:
The module will look to discuss the following aspects within the strategic consideration of both projects and organisations and the context of working in both home and international markets.  Theory and practice will be used with case studies to expand and contextualise the following:
Importance of leadership, theory and practice.
Project and organisational factors of working collectively including aspects of change management, inclusivity and professionalism.
Team working including roles, conflict, negotiations, culture and ethics
Strategic HR processes.
Additional Information:
This module aims to give you a broad theoretical and practical understanding of strategic execution and leadership. It will explore the crucial role that leadership and collaborative working play in achieving better project performance in a professional and inclusive context.
