Aims

To develop the requisite project management skills and knowledge necessary to manage the key processes of planning, executing, controlling and closing a project at appropriate stages in the project life cycle.

Learning Outcomes

1.
Critically review and assess the validity of organisational theory that underpins practices related to planning, executing, controlling and closing of projects.
2.
Critically examine the inputs, tools and techniques and outputs to the key processes throughout the project life cycle.
3.
Plan, monitor and control a complex project at its different stages.
4.
Appraise and utilise project management software for planning, monitoring and reporting progress.
