Aims
1. To introduce work psychology in a global context
2. introduce students to the role of work attitudes and their relation to work performance
3. To critically evaluate theories of group and team working and effectiveness
4. To introduce the processes of organisational development and change
5. To critically evaluate psychological approaches to leadership in the workplace
6. To critically evaluate how social, cognitive and organisational factors relate to work design, conflict in the workplace and to work outcomes such as performance and stress.
Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate current theories in work psychology

Apply knowledge and critical awareness of theoretical approaches in work psychology to a range of work-based issues
3.
Justify selection of theories and concepts applied to a given organisational case study.
4.
Apply theories and concepts to an organisational case study problem to provide a solution
