Aims

This module aims to enable students to understand the different aspect of enterprise and risk management, in order to utilise both management skills in the working environment. It also aims to enable the student to consider intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial behaviour through enterprise development.

Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate the key concepts of risk management

Analyse the concepts of competitive strategies, intrepreneurialism, entrepreneurialism and approaches to enterprise development
3.
Distinguish the entities with responsibility for risk within an organisation and the development of risk culture

Outline Syllabus:Supporting development of new enterprise and opportunities Understanding competitive strategies intrepreneurialism, and entrepreneurialism Approaches to effective decision making Knowledge of ethics and values based leadership Driving cultures of resilience Challenge strategies in operations in terms of ethics, responsibility and sustainability Resource allocation and business continuity/risk management Business continuity in risk management Regulatory requirements in risk management Legal and safety standards relating to risk Environmental impact relating to risk
