Aims
To provide the basics of professional conduct and clinical legal education and provide basis for delivering legal services with appropriate supervision and reflecting on the same

Module Overview:
This module aims to provide the basics of professional conduct and clinical legal education, providing a basis for delivering legal services with appropriate supervision. Practice-based seminars will train students in the observation and participation in 'live' client case work as well as interviewing and drafting.
Students will be staffing the Legal Advice Centre working on site or in collaboration with external stakeholders and community groups (e.g. Support Through Court). They will prepare advice and/or public legal information and support. Students will demonstrate skills in client interviewing, advocacy/persuasive oral communication, case matter and analysis, legal research and drafting.

Additional Information:This is the module which needs to be undertaken in order to obtain the Masters qualification. It will prepare you for working as a legal practitioner.
Passing the 10% practical legal research component is required to i) submit the research project and ii) pass the module.
