Outline Syllabus:Knowledge and understanding of legislation and policy relating to special educational needs and disability
Context of SEND – institutional, local, national and international
Knowledge and understanding of assessment to identify a range of needs
Differentiation: strategies for developing access to the curriculum for all learners

This module enables education practitioners to develop professionally through an enhanced understanding of the legislative and policy context of SEND. It provides a grounding in theory, research and practice for professionals in education to develop their ability to identify and meet learner needs, their understanding of current policy and legislative context and their ability to improve outcomes for all learners.
