Aims
To critically explore the philosophical approaches appropriate to sport psychology research, and to develop and extend students' skills in quantitative research design, and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and representation relevant to Sport Psychology.

Critically evaluate the design, ethics, and philosophical basis of research methodologies in sport psychology.

Module Overview:
The module allows you to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills tocritically explore the philosophical approaches appropriate to sport psychology research, and to develop and extend students' skills in quantitative research design, and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and representation relevant to Sport Psychology

Additional Information:
The module provides an opportunity for students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and critical understanding to conduct quantitative and qualitative research in Sport Psychology at postgraduate level. The module is bespoke to the M.Sc. Sport Psychology cohort, such that the methods discussed and examples used come from a Sport Psychology context. The content is delivered by a staffing base with expertise in conducting quantitative and qualitative Sport Psychology research.
