Aims
On completion of this module students will be able to work with individuals, families and communities to improve, promote and protect their health and well being and reduce inequalities.
Learning Outcomes

Synthesise evidenced based approaches to facilitating health improvement for SCPHN practice.

Deconstruct professional, legal and policy frameworks for ethical practice.

Critically evaluate the role of the SCPHN in reducing health inequalities

Module Overview:
This module provides a theoretical foundation to Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) and you will be able to build on its content to develop innovative and creative practice.
Students are required and facilitated to extend their theoretical learning to apply to their own core settings / clients, and this is reflected in the assignments. In addition there are route specific sessions with a health visitor or school nurse focus.
