Module Content

Outline Syllabus:What is News? Writing for print, online and broadcast, including structure, introductions, quotations, sources, story treatments, spelling grammar and punctuation. Use of language, accuracy and presentation. Basic mobile journalism skills.

This module helps you to identify a news story and produce a well-structured report. It:
  • helps you to produce accurate reports for print, online and broadcast outlets
  • enables you to demonstrate a critical understanding of the importance of accuracy and language skills
