Aims
The aim of this programme of study is to advance the theoretical and practical knowledge of the experienced clinical professional working in an environment where advanced paramedic practice is integral to the role.
Learning Outcomes

Clearly articulate the strengths and benefits of advanced practice to the patient / client, the professionals and their organisation.

Critically appraise the skills and knowledge required by the advanced practitioner in relation to the population they serve.

Critically evaluate strategies used to influence and evaluate change in practice in light of legal, ethical and professional guidelines and other available evidence.
4.
Demonstrate advanced practice competencies within the competency frameworks.

The module will be an addition to the paramedic skill set. The advanced paramedic role in the UK is changing. Whilst variations exist nationally, this programme will explore the differences whilst offering a range of advanced skills beyond paramedic traditional practice.

The programme will be delivered a 15 week period (one semester). The time slot is 2 hours usually once a week. Please check timetable for the subjects to be taught and room number. This information will also be on the Canvas (VLE) website(for you to access.
