Aims

• Support the development of self-directed and in-depth body of work appropriate to the student’s concerns. • Enable students to plan, organize and deliver a final exhibition project or equivalent, through effective time and resource management, demonstrating a high level of critical engagement, creative achievement and appropriate technical ability. • Develop the students’ ability to speak publicly about their work and enhance their capacity to engage in professional practice

Produce a significant public-facing installation of their work with accompanying textual commentary

Make an articulate public presentation about their work and its concerns, evidencing achievement at Masters Level and the capacity to engage in professional practice

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:This module reflects the summation of the Masters programme of study. Students will be required to materialise an initial proposal through exhibition or equivalent, developing a body of work and reflection along the way. Regular tutorials and group presentations will help them to articulate their practice.
Additional Information:This is the module where students bring together all the skills they have acquired on the programme demonstrated by public exhibition or equivalent. Students will be required to make a working proposal about which they will receive feedback and support in its realisation from academic staff and relevant staff in key organisations in the city. Students will be assessed by exhibition augmented by a viva and evidence of reflection in an on-line journal.
