Aims
To introduce the histories and practices of exhibition-making;
To deepen the practice of exhibition research;
To develop students' interpretative theoretical and discursive skills;
To support a critical environment within which students can develop the skills necessary to debate and critically evaluate exhibition studies.
Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of key exhibitions from the twentieth century to the present

Situate key exhibitions in a wider historical and critical framework

Display an awareness and understanding of individual and institutional practices of display

Communicate ideas with precision and clarity and deploy an appropriate critical language in written form
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Significant historic exhibitions, together with key readings, will form the core syllabus of the module. Students will be introduced to various case study examples. Through dialogue, analysis, and reflection they will test and develop ideas for the written assignment.
