Aims
This module aims to introduce students to the contemporary issues facing the financial industry particularly related to green finance, behaviour finance and fintech impacts. Students will also engage with the understanding of how contemporary issues create potential financial benefits and risks and analyses how financial actors are then affected.
Learning Outcomes

Provide a comprehensive insight into the underpinning, principles and practice of green finance with the consideration of how it can be brought into the mainstream.

Identify and evaluate the potential, risks and impact that key technologies have on current finance developments in the form of crypto currencies, challenger banks and peer to peer lending.
3.
Interpret the causes of financial pricing anomalies and analyse the effects of behavioural biases in corporate and investment finance decision making.
4.
Critically explore the role of contemporary issues affecting financial activities in today's economy.
