This module aims to develop your critical understanding of the principles and processes of research ethics and governance.

Additional Information:The assessment has two options relating to student's research needs
1. Oral presentation of ethical issues surrounding the student's project proposal - 10 minutes
2. Oral presentation of ethical issues identified within an existing ethics application - 10 minutes
All students will be required to complete an online ethics exam - open book - This will be pass/fail
‘The following variance to the Academic Framework was approved 08/05/2022;
Module 7002MRESHW requires both assessments to be passed (the examination assessment is marked as fail or pass) in order to successfully complete the module.’
Ethical competence will be assessed via an online ethics test (open book). This will be marked as pass/fail and it must be passed in order to successfully complete the module.
