Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The group members will determine the core topics as per their learning needs. The main topics will be on the following themes and will be addressed through resource sessions, group work, seminars and learning sets.

Module Overview:
This semester-long module enhances effective leadership and team working. Action learning is used to draw on your knowledge and skills, further developing leadership potential within your working context.
This semester-long module enhances effective leadership and team working. Action learning is used to draw on your knowledge and skills, further developing leadership potential within your working context.
Additional Information:Action Learning will be utilised as a means of drawing upon the students knowledge and skills to further develop their Leadership potential within their working context.
The module is delivered over one semester. September and January offerings
The criteria for admission to the module is that candidates are currently working as a registered professional in a relevant area of practice. Ideally candidates will have studied at degree (level 6) however if this is not the case the applicants skills and professional experience will be discussed to allow the module leader to assess capability to study at level 7.
The module learning outcomes and relevant subject benchmark statements are in
line with the QAA framework for higher education qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The module is aligned to the Level 7 descriptors for a Level 7 Higher Education Qualification
The final award is Advancing Leadership for Quality level 7 20 credits CPD
This module is also offered as part of the following programmes: MA Nursing, MA Nursing: Mental Health, MA Nursing: Clinical Education and MA Nursing: Clinical Leadership (36130; 36136; 36131; 36138); MSc Advanced Healthcare Practice (clinical and critical care)
The students have access to a VLE and the University's other range of electronic support such as access to the electronic library facilities.
The students also have access to the module leader through phone contact, emails and face to face meetings. A module guide is also provided which directs students to the wider range of support available.

Attendance is required throughout the module and will be monitored as required by HEE.
