Aims
The module aims to present you with the opportunity to consolidate experience in screen acting for recorded media in a short film project, demanding engagement with concept and narrative arc, including the utility of the actor’s Independent Methodology, tested in challenging working contexts and pre/post-production pressures. This module presents links with Artistic Practice III and Professional Development III.
Learning Outcomes

Utilise an independent methodology appropriate to screen performance processes

Examine technical working methods and conceptual approaches in recorded media practice
3.
Rise to challenging working contexts utilising professional management skills under creative and collaborative pressures within a timeframe
4.
Manage aspects of the pre/post-production process and evaluate effective methods to meet desired outcomes
5.
Manufacture a media performance, critically evaluating its performative impact on an intended audience, including industry profiling.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:In this module you will collaborate with creatives in the realisation of a short film production. You will take part in the production and performance of the short film. Your production role in this production may take influence from your discipline-elective in Artistic Practice III.
You will research and fulfil the pre/post-production requirements and expectations of your assigned role, working within high-pressured and challenging working environments to meet production deadlines.
You are assessed on your professional engagement and reflective analysis with all aspects of the production process, as well as the final, edited screen performance.
