Aims

1.1 To introduce the student to the important principles that govern evidence, namely that of relevance, admissibility weight, and exclusion. 1.2 To introduce the student to the various categories of evidence, the trial process and basic criminal procedure.

Learning Outcomes

Critically analyse, illustrate and demonstrate legal evidential knowledge, succinctly coherently and logically.

Demonstrate confidence to address the general application of criminal evidence.
3.
Provide a convincingly reasoned answer/solution/contention to any evidential legal problem.
