To provide an overview of current theories explaining the evolution, ecology and behaviour of primate species from different social systems

Outline Syllabus:Overview of explanations / models of factors affecting primate evolution, ecology and behaviour
An introduction to current topical issues in the field of primatology that may include primate behaviour (e.g. social, sexual or aggressive behaviour), dietary patterns, communication, evolutionary history, ranging behaviour and conservation.

This module provides an overview of current topics in primatology, including evolution, ecology and behaviour of primate species, using a mixture of lectures and seminars, along with fieldwork, practical and workshop elements.
