Aims
This module aims to develop students’ critical understanding of the support available for people with a range of disabilities/ additional needs.
Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate the needs of individuals across the lifespan with a range of disabilities
2.
Critically analyse the impact of key approaches to supporting individuals with specific disabilities and needs
3.
Critically discuss the language and communication difficulties that can be associated with disabilities.

Emotional Social and Behavioural Difficulties

Strategies for supporting effective communication: PECS, Social stories, Makaton
