Aims

To investigate the formation of queer identities in Britain, 1880-1980. To achieve a detailed command of varying historical interpretations. To utilise a range of primary and secondary materials to assess how queer identities were formed, expressed and managed in Britain, 1880-1980.

Learning Outcomes

Undertake detailed textural analysis and comment critically on the primary materials.

Achieve a detailed command of varying historical interpretations of the primary materials and the subject as a whole.
3.
Organise material and articulate arguments effectively orally and in writing under timed conditions.

Module Overview:
The aim of this module is to investigate the formation of queer identities in Britain between 1880-1980. You will utilise a range of primary and secondary materials to assess how queer identities were formed, expressed and managed in Britain, 1880-1980.
Additional Information:This module will examine pivotal moments in the development of queer identities in Britain between 1880 and 1980.
