To enable students to support patients from different cultural backgrounds in a holistic approach to care

Culturally appropriate health literacy and health education
Cultural perspectives on health/rituals
Anti-discriminatory and culturally competent practice
Use of interpreters and third party organisations in clinical practice
Political influences for globalisation
Globalisation of health care
Health tourism
Global health priorities and patterns in health (mental and physical)
Global patterns for communicable and non-communicable diseases

This module will enable you to support patients from different cultural backgrounds in a holistic approach to care. In addition to the contact hours above there are 160 private study hours. 85 hours are guided, this includes online and assessment preparation.
