Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The course provides students with the opportunity to research and conduct an in depth written and practical portfolio in any approved subject in Film Studies. The sustained opportunity provided for autonomous study enables students to develop and consolidate their intellectual and creative achievement on the degree programme.

The aim of this module is to provide you with an opportunity to explore the relationship between theory and practice to be able to research in depth on a specific topic of your own choice.

Additional Information:Students will have the opportunity to explore the relationship between theory and practice. Their portfolio will consist of a written and practical element, with the following indicative word count and film timings, along with the assessment weightings: 6500 word thesis (80%) & 2-3 minute A/V production (20%) or 4000 word thesis (50%) & 5 minute A/V production (50%) or 2000 word thesis (20%) and 8-10 minute A/V production (80%)
