Aims

To expand and develop further the research knowledge and ability to design and produce a research study proposal. The proposal should direct the student towards an area of study to inform further development in research as the student progresses.

Learning Outcomes

Critically evaluate evidence related to a negotiated area of research.
2.
Formulate an appropriate research question specific to paramedic practice.
3.
Design an appropriate research methodology.
4.
Identify ethical considerations in research.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Designing research questions to enhance your research proposal. Reviewing data analysis techniques. Advanced database searching focusing on the paramedic profession. International research for the paramedic profession. Funding and support in producing research. World leading research, writing up and publishing. Mechanisms that enhance the research agenda. Publication and the way forward for your work.
Module Overview:
This module aims to expand and further develop your research knowledge and ability to design and produce a research study proposal. The proposal should direct you towards an area of study to inform your dissertation.
Additional Information:The module will further enhance the knowledge and understanding the student has about the research agenda nationally and internationally. The module will focus on essential aspects of funding and further develop appreciation of world leading research and levels within it.
