The student will be able to carry a case load to experience continuity of care. The students will have successfully completed the relevant documentation for submission. The documentation relates to the European Directives and NMC Essential skills clusters and Midwifery Domains. The module is graded in practice. This is a non-standard year long module, and runs across the course of the whole year to enable practice to be completed. Essential skills must be passed. (by simulation in exceptional circumstances). Students have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass this practice module, no further attempts will be allowed. Students undertake 2 placements as part of this module and are formatively graded at the end of each one. The 2 formative grades then feed into a final summative grade at the end of the module and after all placements have been completed. The student requires a grade of 40% to pass this module.
