Aims

To develop and practise skills to prepare graduates of the programme for the variety of jobs available within the public health setting

Learning Outcomes

1.
Critically reflect on the graduate skills acquired during the programme and the professional skills required for working within public health.
2.
Utilise knowledge of the recruitment process and evaluate their knowledge and skills with reference to the employment market.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Identification and reflection of graduate skills; CV writing; researching the job market; attending mock interviews; preparing job applications; shortlisting candidates based on job applications.
Module Overview:
The aim of this module is to develop and practice skills to prepare you as a graduate of the programme for the variety of jobs available within the public health setting.
Additional Information:This module gives the student the opportunity to identify and maximize their strengths and prepares them to compete in the job market. It will allow them to fully understand the career pathways open to them within public health. Students will also provide evidence of completion of the CareerSmart tasks
