Aims
The aim of this module is to develop, support and prepare students be able to work safely and competently whilst undertaking more complex practice learning opportunities.
Learning Outcomes

Effectively and safely achieve all practice based learning competencies.

Demonstrate competent, safe and effective practice by the point of registration.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:CPAP/BIPAP, conflict management, airway management, acute and chronic renal failure, complex patient assessment, neurological assessment, abdominal assessment, shock ( all forms), skin and wound management. Pharmacology in acute care, Hypertension, Dementia/stroke. Pneumonia/chest infections Communication skills SBAR, Liver/diagnostics. Care, compassion and accountability. Advanced care planning.

This module will develop and enhance clinical competencies, building on previous practice modules and practice experience. Students will be encouraged to extend their knowledge on more complex clinical practice whilst becoming more autonomous and addressing areas for further development in preparation for final 6months.
