Aims

This module will develop students understanding of construction information and their use in the process. Students will consider production, reading and editing of relevant information to understand how this information informs the different stages of the process. Students will consider the value of collaboration in the information process.

Examine the different types of construction information of a diverse range of projects

Produce construction drawings, details, schedules and specifications of a given project

Interpret different types of construction information to explain a construction project

Examine ways construction professionals collaborate to produce construction information

Outline Syllabus:Use a range of types of construction information including site plans, assembly drawings and schedules Use of technology, details and schedules for a project including CAD, templates and schedules of work Reading construction drawings Information coordination Collaboration methods of construction professionals including project roles and document sharing and distribution Sustainability as the first choice
