Aims

This module aims to provide the student with the ability to reflect the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required by their appropriate professional routeway i.e. C.I.O.B, RICS, CIBSE, CIAT etc through their workplace.

Learning Outcomes

Develop the skills and competencies from their appropriate professional routeway through evidencing and application in the workplace.

Reflect upon their development learning, performance and or achievement and to plan for their personal, educational and career development.
3.
Evaluating and evidencing personal and professional development, managing their own learning needs.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:This module will facilitate the learning process by enabling students to apply previously gained knowledge and theory in a practical context through the workplace. This will be supported by workshops where students will be able to collectively discuss their experiences and progress on the knowledge skills and behaviours required for their relevant professional body. The development of the work based project will be agreed with the module team and the relevant workplace mentor. Regular meetings will take place with the workplace mentor to review progress and will be discussed at the workshop with the module team, covering such aspects as, demonstrating and evidencing the 20% off the job training apprenticeship requirements, monthly mentor and apprentice meetings, the tripartite Academic Liaison Tutor meetings and their associated feedback and action plans.
Module Overview:
This module aims to provide you with the ability to reflect the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required by your appropriate professional routeway i.e. C.I.O.B, RICS, CIBSE, CIAT etc through your workplace.
Additional Information:The central theme of the module is the production of a reflective portfolio which is structured to capture the competencies required by the relevant professional body. On the Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship programme, the knowledge learning outcomes for this module are S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, B1, B2, B3, B4, and B5. On the Construction Management Degree Apprenticeship programme, the Knowledge learning outcomes are K2, K7, K8 and the Skills learning outcomes are S1, S3, S5, S9 and the Behaviour learning outcomes are B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5.
